About Christina (she/her/hers)
Hi there! I’m Christina, and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). First and foremost—before we start talking about me—I just want to say that I’m proud of you for even looking up counselors, because although it’s the first step in the counseling process, it can be the most difficult.
Throughout my counseling experience, I have worked with kids, adults, and couples from all walks of life—each with their own unique journey. Many have struggled with things like anxiety, adjustment issues or life transitions, depression, addictions, family or relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and plain old daily life stressors.
As your counselor, since there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe space—using approaches that best fit YOU to help you function better day-to-day and improve your overall well-being—ultimately working toward the goal of helping you feel better!
My clinical style is direct but friendly—think of someone who will tell you like it is, but in a supportive, down-to-earth way. The therapeutic modalities I use include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Grief Counseling, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Don’t let the names scare you! If you want to research them or even ask me about them, feel free to do so.
My self-care includes hanging out with friends and family, trying new places to eat, and cannonballing into pools all year round. Good thing indoor water parks exist!
