About Amanda (she/her/hers)
Hi, I'm Amanda. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a clinical supervisor here at WHC.
I bring a compassionate, client-centered approach to helping others explore their inner selves. I highlight the relationship between our conscious and unconscious thoughts, which are often shaped by past experiences, and how these patterns manifest in our current relationships. I believe that trauma is stored in the body, and that working with the nervous system through body awareness practices can be a powerful tool for navigating stressors. I also view dreams and symbols as meaningful healing tools, encouraging individuals to uncover their own narratives and symbols as part of their personal growth journey. In my supervisory role, I foster a nurturing environment where new therapists can strengthen their skills and build confidence in their work.
For self-care, I enjoy Hobbit-like activities such as gardening, sewing, baking, and second breakfasts.
