Erin Carr
Clinical Art Therapy Intern
About Erin (she/they)
Hi! I’m Erin, I am currently a graduate student studying art therapy at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. With a background in photography, I continue to learn how powerful art can be as a tool for communication and meditative practice. In art therapy, we can use the creative process to explore feelings, understand interpersonal relationships, and encourage self-expression. I like to think of my therapeutic approach as open, holistic, collaborative, and client-centered.
For self-care, I enjoy making art and jewelry, spending time with loved ones, listening to music, cooking, reading, and going on nature walks. I look forward to supporting community members to gain a better understanding of their inner struggles and grow toward healing.
