About Emily (she/her/hers)
Hello! My name is Emily Rubin and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor with Wholehearted Healing Collective. I’m happy you found your way here!
I intend to create a safe space for you to explore what it is that brought you to this moment. I'm here to listen as you navigate your personal experience and teach you versatile skills along the way. It is my hope that, in turn, these skills may help you breathe a little deeper and live a little easier.
I have experience working with individuals and families struggling with substance use disorders, anxiety, depression and other mental health struggles. I work from a humanistic perspective and incorporate dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques.
Personally, I have found time in nature helps to fortify my own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. This is something I am passionate about bringing into our sessions if you are comfortable with it.
A few of my hobbies include enjoying some fresh air with my family, getting lost in a good book and my all-time favorite destresser - organizing my home.
I look forward to meeting you along your journey!
