About Cassandra (she/her/hers)
My name is Cassandra Grod, I have my Masters in Social Work and I'm a Licensed Clinicial Social Worker (LCSW). I am also a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) student at Capella University with a focus in mass incarceration and prison reform, specifically, targeting people of color. I am trained in Sand Play therapy and was a part of the Violence Against Women and Children Certificate (VAWC-C) program. VAWC-C students specialized in abuse, neglect, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. I started my career working with children who witnessed domestic violence and later worked with adult men who have a history of sexual abuse. I work primarily with children, adolescents, and families experiencing hardships, communication issues, or just want a stronger connection! I use an eclectic approach of sensory integrated therapies with talk therapies to help individuals connect with and feel more compassion for their authentic self. I specialize in neurodivergent behaviors, school issues, assisting parents with special education needs, school refusal, and peer issues.
For self care, I crochet amigurumi, hike, and working on agility with my 2 dogs!
